Mid-January Product Update: New NIST Dashboard, CPI Labeling and More

The new SEC Cyber Disclosure Rules officially went into effect last month and the new features and updates to our Cybersecurity Management Platform are designed to give CISOs the most effective way to report on their security program. Onyxia continues to provide CISOs with the most comprehensive platform to measure program performance, achieve organizational compliance, and optimize tech stack coverage.

Our first product release of the year is full of new exciting features and platform updates:

Onyxia NIST Dashboard

Along with our primary dashboard, Onyxia now enables you to track, measure, and manage your security program performance based on the NIST Compliance Framework. In your account settings, you can globally transform the Onyxia Cybersecurity Management Platform to a NIST CSF 2.0 aligned dashboard. The parent security categories and the Cybersecurity Performance Indicators (CPIs) can be set to match the NIST compliance framework. Easily report how your security program is remaining compliant with just one click.

CPI Graph Labelling

Charts and graphs only tell part of the story, so we now give CISOs an easy way to contextualize their data with labeling. Charts will now incorporate text labels to data points marking specific events and will be represented on the downloaded reports.

  • System labels will automatically mark CPI and metric-related events like SLA changes, data source changes, CPI activation, etc.

  • Custom labels allow users to add text to any point on a CPI chart. This will help you reference a change in performance by marking the event with specific information (i.e.- headcount change, new process or product, etc.)

Personalized Security Stack Mapping

After releasing the Security Stack Map in November, we added some new features to create a more robust experience. Users can now customize the stack map to their coverage preferences by moving products around the map and adding any product to a specific cell.

Adding products allows you to keep track of any product that does not yet natively integrate with the Onyxia platform. You can now track and evaluate your entire security stack in one place and can quickly identify gaps or redundancies in your security stack and conduct a more in-depth self-assessment.

New Cybersecurity Performance Indicator (CPI) Groupings

We added two new parent Cybersecurity Performance Indicator (CPI) groupings to our platform, Device Management and Network Security. Within each grouping, there are multiple CPIs that measure your connected security products.

With the Device Management grouping, you will be able to track CPIs related to the security products that monitor your organization’s mobile device management policies and compliance rules. While the Network Security grouping enables you to track CPIs related to the security products that monitor your network management services.

Platform Design Updates

Our platform is ever-evolving, with new functions and features added monthly and we want to make it as intuitive as always. We have updated the navigation bar with icons and expanded dropdown menus to make it easier to switch between platform features. Additionally, we added a search option to the data source dropdown menu in our CPI library so you can quickly find your product.

Summary

We look forward to sharing more exciting product updates as we continue to develop and add more functionality and features.
