The Onyxia November Product Update

Since we released our platform back in August we have been gathering feedback from our early adopters and advisors to continue building the best platform possible. We are committed to the mission of providing CISOs and security leaders with an essential and core Cybersecurity Management Platform to strengthen their high-level security strategy and streamline day-to-day, tactical program management.

Our latest release included several new features and updates to the existing platform:

Security Stack Mapping

The first version of our Security Stack Map has been released and is now accessible from the left menu bar. With it, you will automatically see what security products you currently have integrated into your Onyxia platform and how they align with the pillars of the NIST compliance framework.

The map is divided into 6 rows each one corresponding to a different NIST pillar. The 6 rows include the 5 traditional NIST framework pillars.

  • Identify: This pillar involves identifying an organization’s so-called critical functions and what cybersecurity risks could impede those functions.

  • Protect: The protect pillar defines the safeguards a business must have in place to make sure that critical functions along with their relevant components, such as systems and employees, are safe.

  • Detect: With the Detect pillar, the aim is to assess whether a company’s systems are compromised so that action can be taken if needed.

  • Respond: The Respond pillar refers to the actions that can and should be performed depending on the cybersecurity breach’s severity and type.

  • Recover: The Recover pillar refers to getting back any data that might have been lost as a result of a breach or attack. It also deals with restoring services to critical systems that may have been damaged because of the incursion.

The 6th row labeled “Govern” preemptively addresses the anticipated release of NIST CSF 2.0. The Govern function is intentionally constructed to help organizations make cybersecurity choices that are well-founded and successful. The function, which deals with a broader perspective, is an overarching topic that informs all of the five other functions. It also stresses that cybersecurity risk is of considerable importance to senior leadership rivaling legal and financial concerns.

The Onyxia Security Stack Map will allow you to instantly identify redundancy and evaluate where your program is potentially missing coverage.

CPI Report Export

As part of the latest update we pushed out you can now download PDF versions of the CPI reports. You can download a full report of all CPIs from the CPI library dashboard or customize and download each CPI individually.

  • Full CPI Report: When exporting all CPIs you are tracking to a PDF download it will create a combined single PDF report. This report will show the default timeframe and severity measure that is displayed when you arrive to each CPI detail page.

  • Individual CPI Report: On an individual CPI page you can, prior to exporting, customize the timeframe, severity, frequency, and source details.

Summary
