Onyxia Cyber Joins the Open Secure AI Alliance to Advance Agentic Cyber Governance and Defense
AI is changing the speed and scale of cyber defense, and the speed and scale of the adversary. As AI becomes embedded across enterprise environments, security leaders need the ability to inspect, govern, and secure the systems they depend on. This requires leveraging the best AI capabilities—including shared tooling and open models—that allow the security community to evaluate how AI systems behave and collectively improve defenses.
Onyxia Cyber is proud to join other industry leaders as a partner in the Open Secure AI Alliance, a new industry coalition organized by the Linux Foundation and originally established by NVIDIA. Built on the premise that securing the AI era requires open models, shared tools, and a massively distributed community of defenders, the Alliance is focused on ensuring defenders everywhere have open, frontier tools they can trust and control.
Through this work, Onyxia will share insights on accelerating AI-driven cyber governance, automating exposure mitigation, and building resilient security programs on a foundation of trusted data.
Trustworthy Agentic AI Starts with Trusted Data
AI safety is not solved by evaluating a model in isolation. In cybersecurity, defenders need to understand how highly capable AI agents behave when they are used for real security work.
Agentic defense systems are only as strong as the data fabric they stand on. That is where a unified, cross-domain foundation becomes critical. It determines what context an AI system can access, how it reasons through a task, what actions it is allowed to take, and how its conclusions are validated. It is the difference between raw, noisy model output and security intelligence a CISO can trust.
Onyxia has built this foundation. By unifying disparate security tool data into a single autonomous platform, Onyxia ensures that its AI acts on a single, deduplicated inventory of all organizational assets. Our agentic AI, Nexa, transforms this rich security context into machine-speed action. Nexa operates as an active reasoning agent—allowing users to ask natural language questions, run trade-off analyses, and get instant, context-aware answers to drive automated and proactive remediation.
That is why the Open Secure AI Alliance is so important. By bringing open research and shared tools into the light, defenders can validate safeguards and improve AI techniques across the broader security community.
The Right Context for the Right Security Mission
The most effective AI strategy is not defined by one model or deployment approach. It is defined by matching the right capability to the right security mission.
For Onyxia, that mission is transforming cyber governance into measurable resilience. The most effective cyber governance strategy requires an active management layer above your tools—understanding what the program covers, what it costs, what it’s improving, and what to tell the board next quarter.
Onyxia bridges daily tactical security operations directly to high-level business decisions. To support data-driven governance, Onyxia leverages agentic AI to automate board-ready reports and cyber KPIs, stopping teams from wasting hundreds of hours on manual data collection. The platform automatically calculates KPIs, tracks SLAs, evaluates program spend, and identifies missing coverage across identities and devices before gaps become breaches.
Why This Matters for the Board and C-Suite
Executives and boards of directors are both major sponsors of AI and central to shaping how cyber risk is governed. As organizations adopt AI for mission-critical use cases, they need transparent systems that can be inspected, evaluated, and trusted.
Open models and open tooling support those priorities by enabling independent evaluation. They allow security leaders to tune AI to mission-specific requirements while maintaining strict control of sensitive operational data.
Governance in the AI Era
AI safety is not achieved through opacity. It requires rigorous testing, secure infrastructure, strong governance, human oversight, and broad technical scrutiny.
The Open Secure AI Alliance is building the foundation for that work by driving open research, practical tooling, and collective expertise to help make AI more secure and effective for defenders. Onyxia Cyber is proud to join this coalition. The AI era demands a new kind of defense, and building it will take the full strength of the defender community.
